Growing

I have been quiet around here......

Been a bit busy growing this.......

This is baby number 5 who is due to join us earthside in the late winter.
A surprise but very welcome addition to our family.

I have been knitting up a few things for him/her. We are in the process of nesting, setting up the hammock and reorganising baby clothes.

Lots of plans to put into action, things to do before babe arrives.

Time flies when you're waiting!!

2009

Happy New Year.
2009 has arrived already.
We had a quiet, family Christmas and a very quiet New Years Eve (DP had to work) and now I am gearing up to get 2009 underway.
This year will be a busy one here on the mountain starting with a very ruthless clean-up and sort out once all our Christmas visitors have left. Lots of planning for and re-organizing of rooms, plus putting in a new vegie patch and hopefully getting some chooks before too much of the year has passed. Plenty of other plans will come to fruition this year as well.... I think I'm looking forward to seeing what unfolds.

Exploring

Mim took the littles exploring in the garden this morning....
Here are a few things they found.....

A busy friend..

Seed pods, some with seeds still in them.

Always good things to see in Spring time!
Mim took all the photos on my little Sony Cybershot. Clever Girl!

They came inside grubby, happy and bearing gifts....

Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

Edited to say if you click on the photo of the bee on the daisy you can see his pollen sacs are full

More Yarn Love

Arty yarn photos.....

Courtesy of James!
We had lots of fun setting these up. Should do some more in daylight!
Of course I have just realised I have a serious yarn addiction, like I said earlier better get knitting.

Yarn Love

I have one lonely but beautiful skein of this...........
the photo does not show the lovely black and purpleybrown colours but it is very yummy. I am planning a pair of longies for Jed. As I only have one skein, the last one left at the LYS and no hope of any more, I will have to find something else for cuffs and waistband. I am hoping that once knitted these longies will see out his nappy wearing career.
As he has already started to train himself I think perhaps I better hurry up.
What to knit once we no longer need longies????
